Fishing in Harvestella
The first thing that you will need to do is head to the General Store in Lethe Village. You will be able to spend 800 Grilla there to buy a book known as the “Basics of Fishing.” Once you grab this item, you will be able to fish. No, you do not need to buy a fishing rod separately. After that, go find a fishing spot. These are pretty much everywhere. In Lethe Village there are a few on bridges and by water. Your farm and home also have spots. Every dungeon area does, too! Approach one of the designated fishing spots (as seen on the mini-map below) and start fishing by just activating the spot. Once your rod goes in, you will need to practice some patience.
Catching a Fish
This part is more tricky. You may have noticed some gentle bobbing while you wait. Do not be fooled by this and do not click to pull your line back just yet. You will actually need to wait until the float is completely under the water and is visibly (audibly, too) splashing. The picture below shows what it might look like when this is happening. All you have to do then is click to reel it back in (or use the button on your controller that selects/activates). You should have a fish now! That is all there is to successfuly fishing in the game.
